Check out the amazing new trailer for “The Heat”, starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCartney:

Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. From Paul Feig, the director of “Bridesmaids.”

The Heat will hit theaters next April 05th!

Finally some good news regarding ‘Gravity’! The FilmStage has tweeted earlier this month that MPAA ratings has arrived for the film:

Gravity rated PG-13 for intense perilous sequences, some disturbing images and brief strong language.

We are now wondering if a release date is near, since MPAA ratings are only given when the film is nearly complete. The first test screening was back in May and a few days later WB has moved the movie to a vague 2013 release. Maybe now with the MPAA ratings we can have good news!

Last October 15th Sandy appeared on Chelsea Lately in a way we didn’t expected: naked. In a skit, Bullock surprises Handler while she’s in the staff showers of her “fancy new studio,” tells Handler to stop calling herself the “white Oprah” and lectures her while both women remain completely naked.

You can watch the video below, and find screen captures in our gallery:

Due next spring, Feig recently spoke to Playlist contributor Jen Vineyard at the opening night premiere of “Arbitrage,” where the director was celebrating finishing “The Heat” by going to his NYC restaurant, and told us a little about the project, featuring Sandra Bullock and “Bridesmaids” breakout star Melissa McCarthy as an FBI agent and a Boston police officer who team up to take down a Russian mobster, has wrapped.

“On the screen, it’s kind of a street smart Boston cop and Sandra’s like a FBI agent, idolizes [“The Silence Of The Lambs” character] Clarice Starling [played by Jodie Foster in the film], more uptight, and they come together,” he explained of the dynamic between the two disparate characters.

“Melissa and Sandra just got along so well, they became like the best of friends, and the chemistry is so fun, because Sandra in real life is awesome,” Feig said. “She’s got nerdy qualities about her that I love, and that went into the character. And Melissa is tough as nails, and that really played into the characters. Sandra had so much fun, and she was such a fan of Melissa’s that when the script came along and she found out Melissa was into it, it came along really fast. It came to me eight weeks before we started shooting, so we dove in and did some rewrites on it.”

Feig revealed that the film has some great cameos that audiences should look out for, plus the Oscar count is surprisingly high. “Yeah, there are some fun surprises [in the cast],” he said. “Some really good people. Demian Bechir came in. We have three Academy Award nominees and one who has won, obviously, so it makes us seem very classy.”

Sandra Bullock is listed at New York Times’ Vulture’s 100 Most Valuable Movie Stars list. To read more about the ranking, you can check this link.
Sandy is ranked at #11 at Vulture Rankings, #08 at Studio Favorite, #19 at Most Respectable, #05 at Tabloid Target and #21 at International Stars.

It feels like Sandra Bullock has turned a corner in her career, even if she’s yet to fully make good on it. The comedy queen surprised in 2009 when she powered The Proposal to a then-career-best $163 million… and trumped that just a few months later when The Blind Side grossed a staggering $255 million and earned her an Oscar for Best Actress. Yes, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close came along last year to give Bullock two back-to-back films nominated for Best Picture — something no one could have foreseen back in her Two Weeks Notice/Miss Congeniality 2 days — but it hardly felt like Bullock cashing in her new capital.

Instead, it feels like 2013 will be the year that she truly tests her newfound mettle: In addition to starring almost single-handedly in Alfonso Cuaron’s innovative sci-fi film Gravity, she’ll be seen in a big ol’ comedy with Melissa McCarthy, this one manned by Bridesmaids helmer Paul Feig instead of Bullock’s usual list of anonymous rom-com directors. Will she still have that shine four years after the biggest year of her life? We think audiences will cut her some slack for taking time off to deal with personal matters (including a messy divorce and a newly adopted son), and the general public seems to agree, since they handed Bullock the highest likeability score on this entire list.

Domestic Box Office: $47,900,000
Overseas Box Office: $36,300,000
Studio Value: 8
Likeability : 84%
Oscars: 1 win
Critics’ Score: 46
Magazine Covers: 14
Tabloid Value: 8

Thanks to Claudia for the heads up!

I’ve been trying to have this movie added to our screen captures archives for a while, but the movie was pretty hard to find. But it worth the waiting because I finally have HD screen captures added to the gallery.

“Fire on the Amazon” is a 1993 movie with a very young Sandy before she met the stardom with “Speed”.

As previously posted, Sandy is already shooting her new film “The Heat” and she was caught on set last June 05. I was waiting for some HQ pictures since then, and my friend Marica sent over to us. Check it:

A few days ago was reported that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (“Bad Teacher,” “The Office,” “Year One”) were rewriting the script for director Paul Feig’s buddy-cop comedy follow-up to “Bridesmaids” that will star Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, and today we heard the movie got a title: The Heat.

Written by “Parks and Recreation” scribe Katie Dippold , the film centers around the strained relationship between a high-strung FBI agent and a “unconventional” Boston police officer. Also joining them in some way is YouTube comic Spoken Reasons, who will play a character named Terrell Rojas, though all other details about the character are unknown.
