SANDRA BULLOCK is to be honoured by the New Orleans, Louisiana school she’s been supporting since Hurricane Katrina.
The actress will be inducted into the Warren Easton High School hall of fame later this month (May09).
The thrilled Miss Congeniality star says, “I feel honoured to have been a very small part in the rebuilding of a city that I have loved since I discovered it, and, like so many, have taken all it has to offer.
“It’s only right that I give back to ensure it has a future. And I have fortunately seen some of that future, graduate from Warren Easton.”
Reports suggest Bullock has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the school since Katrina ravaged the area in 2005.
Arthur Hardy, the school’s hall of fame committee chairman, tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, “Sandra did not attend Warren Easton High School, but we proudly claim her as one of our own.”
SANDRA BULLOCK has designed special seat-belts so her two pet dogs can ride safely in her car.
Friends claim the the actress is terrified her pooches, Ruby and Poppy, will be hurt in a collision, after her car was struck by a drunk driver last April (09).
And that incident, coupled with a plane disaster which cost her her pets a decade ago, has made her strap her dogs up.
A source tells Star magazine, “More than 10 years ago, all her dogs died when they rode cargo on an airplane. She was devastated and vowed never to let anything bad happen to her pets again.
“A lot of people think she’s overdoing it, but she doesn’t care. At least she knows her dogs are safe.”
Actress Sandra Bullock met with Legends owner Gentleman Gene Rotondo for an hour earlier in the week at his Belmont Shore restaurant, and they resolved their differences growing out of Bullock allegedly skipping out on throwing the first pitch at the Dirtbags’ recent home opener against USC.”All evidence points to the fact Sandra knew nothing about it, and I’m sorry about the whole episode,” says Rotondo, who was led to believe by a personal assistant that no longer works for him that Bullock had been lined up for the event. “Sandra was very classy about the whole thing, and I have tremendous respect for her.”
Rotondo also spoke briefly on the phone to Bullock’s husband, Jesse James, about the incident.
“It’s all ended benignly,” says Gentleman Gene, gently putting an end to what had become a stirring local drama.
Sandra Bullock has revealed she and husband Jesse James share their bed with their three dogs.
The Two Weeks Notice star told In Style magazine that she and Jesse, her husband of nearly four years, share their bed with their labrador mix called Kernie, their three legged Chihuahua-Pomeranian called Poppy and their two-legged Chihuahua named Ruby.
She explained: “[The dogs] are always on my side and I get lonely without them.
“On a beautiful sexy vacation with Jesse … I’m going ‘I miss Poppy.’”
Movie star Sandra Bullock was in the Mid-South Monday. She surprised some staffers at Briarcrest High School with an impromptu visit. Bullock was in town to research her new role.
The school’s principal Steve Simpson said Bullock has been cast as Leigh Anne Tuohy, the mother of Michael Oher.
Sandra Bullock is reportedly still in the Mid-South, now in Oxford to see where Oher currently is going to school.
Sandra Bullock has signed on to star in a football movie based on the real-life story of an underprivileged teen who goes on to become one of the nation’s most sought after players.
In ‘Blindside,’ Bullock will play the woman whose well-to-do family takes in football player Michael Oher, who was escaping a past of foster homes and being on the streets, according to Variety. Oher is widely expected to be a top pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
The film — based on the book The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game,” by Michael Lewis — is being produced by ‘Marley & Me”s Gil Netter for Warner Bros.-based Alcon Entertainment, Variety says.
Studio bosses at the helm of SANDRA BULLOCK’s latest film ALL ABOUT STEVE have pushed back the release date – because there are so many romantic-comedies currently competing for a slice of box office success.
The film was slated to hit theatres in the U.S. on 6 March (09) but has been possibly held from the market until the autumn.
Twentieth Century Fox have reportedly decided to delay the film due to the fact so many female-marketed movies are vying for cinemagoers attentions at the the same time.
All About Steve’s release would have been up against newly-released Confessions of a Shopaholic and Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore’s star-studded rom-com He’s Just Not That In To You – which shot straight to the top of the U.S. box office earlier this month (Feb09).

There are additional questions with Sandra that didn’t make it into the In Style Magazine! See them HERE. Thanks Brenda from In Style for letting me know!

More than three years into her marriage to Jesse James, Sandra Bullock says she enjoys being a stepmom – though she hasn’t ruled out having her own children as well.
“I have family in spades,” Bullock, 44, tells InStyle for its March issue. The actress’s husband has three children – son Jesse Jr., 11, and daughters Chandler, 14, and Sunny, 5 – from two previous marriages.
“Everything we do is about the kids,” she says. I haven’t had children biologically. I had shut that off; then I met Jesse, and it turned on again. I was like, ‘Oh, that’s that feeling.’ ”
But pregnancy isn’t on the immediate horizon, says Bullock.
Unconditional Love
“We realized we had to take care of some other things on this planet first,” she says. “I hope to God when we get to a place where all is safe, calm, happy and healthy, it’s not too late.”
Still, she says, “If I waited too long, it’s because we were supposed to do other things. If it is just too late? There are millions of children on this planet that I would be honored to call my own.”
As for her marriage, the All About Steve star says her husband loves her unconditionally. “Thankfully I married someone who loves me just the way I am – and all the nuttiness that goes into me,” Bullock says.
“My greatest joy is making our home what it’s supposed to be,” she says. “Being a good wife, a good stepmom, a good current wife to the ex-wife. We’re a family.”
