Sandra Bullock sports a faux mustache on the latest cute cover of Entertainment Weekly, on stands tomorrow. The 45-year-old actress is having the the best year of her career with two huge hits (The Proposal and The Blind Side), plus Oscar buzz.
Sandra hopes that the ticket sales for The Blind Side will result in more well-told stories starring grown women. “Sexism is everywhere,” she says. “Ageism is everywhere. But you know what? It’s about making money. And look at what Sarah Jessica Parker did with Sex and the City. Look at what Meryl Streep is doing every other week! The proof is in the pudding. I didn’t have the ‘Oh my God, I’m not working because I’m 40.’ I was working when I was 40. I’ve never had this many opportunities in my lifetime.”
Scans will be added soon.
Treat yourself this holiday season and fall in love with the witty romantic comedy “All About Steve” when it debuts on Blu-ray Disc (BD) and DVD December 22 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Sandra Bullock’s year continues its upswing with news that the 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival is honoring her with the American Riviera Award on Feb. 5. The award, which recognizes actors who have had a strong influence on American cinema, is being given to Bullock for her turn in the recent hit “The Blind Side,” as well as for the range she’s shown throughout her career in films such as “Crash,” “While You Were Sleeping” and “The Proposal.”
The American Riviera Award might just be a positive sign for Bullock in regard to her future this award season. Previous recipients have included Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke and Oscar winners Tommy Lee Jones, Forest Whitaker and Philip Seymour Hoffman. And she’s certainly in buzz-worthy company: The festival is also honoring Colin Firth with its Outstanding Performance of the Year for “A Single Man.” Vera Farmiga (“Up in the Air”), Christoph Waltz (“Inglourious Basterds”), Stanley Tucci (“Julie & Julia,” “The Lovely Bones”) and Peter Sarsgaard (“An Education”) will receive the Cinema Vanguard Award. And “Avatar” director James Cameron is being named this year’s Modern Master. The festival runs from Feb. 4 to 14.

NY Post: It’s been a banner year for PopWrap’s beloved Sandra Bullock. She kicked things off in June with “The Proposal,” which not only gave her the best opening weekend of her career ($33.6 million) but went on to become her highest grossing film ever ($164 million).
Then after the summer speed bump that was “All About Steve,” she returned two weeks ago with “The Blind Side.” In its opening weekend, the football flick made $34 million, besting the record she set only five months earlier. It’s already made $102 million and is poised to unseat her Ryan Reynolds co-starring rom-com as the most lucrative movie of Sandra’s career! Oh, and there’s serious awards talk for her performance.
The first accolade she’s set to receive is the coveted American Riviera Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival this February. The prestigious honor has previously gone to Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Forrest Whitaker, Mickey Rourke and Tommy Lee Jones. Sandy is one of the rare women to receive the award.
“Bullock’s career-capping performance in ‘The Blind Side’ encompasses everything we have loved about her since the early ’90s, from the deft physical comedy in ‘While You Were Sleeping,’ to the mettle of her role in the Academy Award-winning ‘Crash,’” said Roger Durling, the festival’s director. “What a most perfect time to salute this enduring movie star’s lengthy career.”
Hell to the yeah!
Last November 25 Sandy was at Ellen, and as always did a great and funny interview. I added caps and the video itself, you can see it below:
