Warner Brothers and the IMAX Corporation are planning to continue their successful relationship in 2012 with three more releases in the IMAX format that haven’t been announced yet. They include the Alfonso Cuaron’s outer space thriller Gravity, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. The movie also will be released in 3D.
Gravity is scheduled to hit theaters on November 21, 2012.
The days of Clint Eastwood acting in films he didn’t also direct were supposed to be over. Heck, the days where Eastwood acted in films he did direct were supposed to be winding down, too. But with his planned Beyonce-starring A Star Is Born delayed by Beyonce’s pregnancy word broke last week that Eastwood was looking seriously at starring in his business partner and frequent AD Robert Lorenz’s directing debut Trouble With The Curve.
Eastwood would play an aging baseball scout with failing eyesight who travels to Atlanta with his daughter to scout a young prospect. The big question when that news broke was who would play Eastwood’s daughter.
Well, Twitch has learned that producers – which, in this case means Eastwood and Lorenz as their company Malpaso has the lead on the film – are now in talks with Sandra Bullock to fill that part. This would represent another major step in Bullock’s evolution as she continues to look for more serious parts to work in amidst the comedy parts that have made her a star.
There is no proposed start date yet but given Eastwood and Lorenz’s historical working methods expect this to go fast once all the deals are in place.
Finally the official trailer for “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” has been released. You can watch it below:
Oskar is convinced that his father, who died in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, has left a final message for him hidden somewhere in the city. Feeling disconnected from his grieving mother and driven by a relentlessly active mind that refuses to believe in things that can’t be observed, Oskar begins searching New York City for the lock that fits a mysterious key he found in his father’s closet. His journey through the five boroughs takes him beyond his own loss to a greater understanding of the observable world around him.

Pals Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds can be reunited again.
Sandy deal isn’t closed yet, but both are in talks to lead the voice cast of And Then There Was Gordon, from Reynolds and Allan Loeb’s production shingle, Dark Fire, and 20th Century Fox TV.
The animated comedy project is about an ordinary child surrounded by brainiac siblings. It received a presentation order from Fox, home to Sunday evening’s animation domination block of such shows as The Simpsons and Family Guy. Reynolds and Loeb would co-write the script as well as executive produce. Joining the pair as EPs are Bullock, Steven Pearl and Jonathon Komack Martin.
I’ve posted a few weeks ago that Warner Bros. was working to get their Oscar hopefuls released in the end of this year, and probably “Extremely Loud…” will be released in December.
So, today the final dates were announced. Stephen Daldry’s “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close“, the adaptation of the Jonathan Safran Foer novel starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, will open in select cities on Dec. 25, and go wide Jan. 20.
Alfonso Cuarón’s space thriller Gravity 3D, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, has been set for Nov. 12, 2012.
Sandra Bullock is set to star in a new comedy series with Keith Chegwin, Les Dennis and Barry from EastEnders.
According to Mirror, Sandra jets in to the UK this month to film top secret scenes for Ricky Gervais’s Life’s Too Short. The “mockumentary” follows dwarf actor Warwick Davis, 41, who starred in fantasy film Willow, running a talent agency for short people.
